When Edwick Hegde and Aradhya Iyer meet through the Tinder app, the spark flies.
Advik resists citing work pressures and goals, while the bold career-minded Aradhya constantly pursues him.
Unable to resist, he falls into a kind of relationship with her without thinking much about the future until the past comes back to bite them.
And what a past it is! Iyer and Hegde look no different from William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet's Montague and Capulets.
The first generation fought while the second suffered from silence! Will General-Next also come under pressure?
This is the story of Ego vs. Heart! Read on to find out which of the two is stronger in this eternal tug of war.
My acceptance:
My latest favorite. A simple love story that touches your heart. Revolving around two families, this book talks more about grandparents, Chittappa and Athai. Relatives who love, hate, or just manage. They are people we cannot ignore.
Set against the backdrop of grandparents who became enemies from friends, who came to Mumbai ambitiously to fulfill their dreams of making a name for themselves.
Ramani Iyer and Bhaskar Hegde come together and open a restaurant. Both create wonderful chefs with their own Tamil and Carnatic style cooking which is their specialty.
The partnership works for them as the hotel becomes a successful and most sought-after destination.
Conservative Bhaskar and modern Ramani are like Ying and Yang. Hell breaks when Janani and Karthik fall in love. Karthik's parents Bhaskar and Akshata strongly oppose and the alliance does not work. They remain unmarried.
Cut to the present when Madras and Mysore have made a name for themselves. Despite helping his two sons, Bhaskar still manages the business. He has strict control over trade and finance.
Advik is expected to run his grandson's show, but the desire to learn and explore other recipes creates a rift between grandfather and grandson.
Ramani on the other hand is generous and allows children to make their own choices.
How will the ancients respond when history repeats itself? Read the book to find out.
Great way to tell a simple story. A feel-good story that also includes relatives and their roles in our lives. Brings back the forgotten era as our Chitappa and Athai were friends.
