Book Review:
Zen the art of simple living by a Japanese monk, this book has to be read by everybody especially so if you are a beginner level reader.
The Author Shomnya Masuno is a Japanese monk and the chief priest of the Soto zen temple ken koji
He is also a professor at the Tama art university and the head of a design firm that takes up design projects across japan and also abroad
Shumiya Masuno is also a garden designer a zen garden designer and has been called as japan's leading garden designer
Number one expect a book that teaches you a thing or two about simple living
Number two expect crisp and shortly that will make you become a better person a much happier person
Number three expect a book that brings you ancient Japanese philosophy in a nutshell
Number four expect a book that brings to you 100 small life lessons told in 100 short chapters that you can easily implement in your daily life.
Now in this book, he brings ancient Japanese philosophy which he then combines with all the wisdom that he has accumulated in his life and also gives you examples from his own life
The things that he implements in his daily life and all of it is combined with his area of expertise and the wisdom
That he has accumulated coming to what I love in the book I love the fact that this book has 100 chapters and all of these chapters are like bite-size
So you can just fly through them it's very very easy to read this book you can read it in one single day or you can also spread your reading and you know to cover it in a whole lazy month.
But reading it is very very easy and that's what I want to point out here again another thing that I love about this book is that going back to it and trying to recollect what you have read already is also very easy
Because again the chapters are all bite-sized 100 chapters 100 small steps and very easy to implement the second thing that I love about this book is that it is a gorgeous read like
It has all these beautiful drawings and beautiful illustrations that are just a sight to behold this book definitely makes for a very good gifting idea especially
So if you are gifting it to somebody who is not really a reader who is not a voracious reader at all who is a beginner in fact and also in case you want to help somebody out in their journey in life and another reason to
Use it as a gift idea is when you want to sound intellectual and want to kind of impress somebody with your knowledge of books for example I have this friend
Who isn't really a reader and she picked up Ikigai and she did not like it she found it very very boring
So the next thing I did was I gifted her strength and she loved it so that's what I'm talking about finally guys another thing that I love about this book is that
This book is enthused with practicality so all the tips which are listed in this book in all the chapters are easily implementable and they're very very practical
In their approach coming to the last section, the only people I would not recommend this book to are one
If you don't like non-fiction you're not looking for self-help books on happiness and personal growth if you are a voracious reader and three
If you have read something similar like that and you don't want to read a very very basic read and that's it from me.
