People We Meet on Vacation Book review
People we meet on vacation by Emily Henry, she definitely is now solidified as an auto-buy author for me I will continue to read any like adult romance or anything like that
she continues to put out but let me actually get into what this book is about and hopefully you will want to read it because when I tell you that
This book just made me happy and made me smile like that was me this whole book and who doesn't want to feel that way this is about poppy and Alex this is a friend to lover's romance
So poppy and alex became friends in college and they are completely different people like they have very very little in common with each other
but somehow they are like super compatible and every summer they take a vacation together and when they started this in college
they really didn't have a lot of money so they tried to find bargains and tried to travel on a budget and she did a blog about it
so like her whole thing would be about places they would go and you know just deals that they would find and like how to get things a little cheaper and still afford to travel
because that was her passion well her blog ended up really taking off and eventually she made a career out of it by joining a company where her job was just to travel for a living to all
These wonderful places and meanwhile every summer poppy and Alex the way that they would connect because they would live in different parts of the country was that they would meet up in the summer and have their vacation together
So when this book starts they actually haven't really been talking for the past two years because on their last vacation something happened you don't know what and it really strained their friendship
She feels like she achieved everything she wanted but she's not happy and she feels like there's something missing so she asks Alex to go on another vacation with her
Because she knows that Alex is like the key to so much of her happiness and since they haven't been connecting in a while that's part of why she's just so not sad but just like
so I don't know how to describe it she's just out of sorts with where her life is and where she thought it would be you're following them on like this current time scale of their vacation that they're taking this summer
but then throughout the whole book, you're obviously seeing all of their past summers together and you're getting all these moments that they've shared together and you see where it switches in their relationship from just being friends until like
How they're falling in love with each other and i loved it like it was so sweet and genuinely hilarious i mean i was laughing out loud
So much basically i just wanted everyone to read this book so they could share in my amusement and my enjoyment because
poppy and alex just have such a fun chemistry banter together just because they're so like i said at odds like they really don't line up in a lot
but that makes the relationship just so much fun to read about and especially because they're so close despite not having all these things in common with each other
Generally speaking, I think this book is just sweet and enjoyable a laugh out loud funny book and I enjoyed the romance part of it but just the characters themselves and their friends were just so wonderful to read about so give this one a shot and would recommend I gave it five stars.
Let me know if you've read it and what you thought about it I'd love to gush about it like what was your favorite vacation that they took in this book.
