Book Review:

Bigger leaner stronger program from Mike and Matthews, if you don't know anything about Mike Matthews or who he is he has a very popular fitness blog called muscle for the life he also has one called Legion athletics which is a supplement company that came out not too long after he created muscle for life and his books 

I love this book just because of how much information is in the book if you want so getting to into the gym and you want to learn a science-based approach then definitely take this book up 

If you are a beginner and you don't know anything about fitness pick up this book it's like an encyclopedia it's like a dictionary for fitness it teaches you everything you need to know about training dieting 

It's basically a mandatory read in my opinion for beginners who are looking to get started with lifting weights so again if you're a beginner and you don't know anything about fitness definitely pick up this book 

It's going to teach you everything you need to know with the science-based approach and my Matthew does a great way very detailed way of delivering this information 

So the workout program for bigger leaner stronger is a five-day split that's what he wants you to do what he thinks is optimal for beginners he lifts very heavy with compound lifts which are the deadlift the bench press overhead press and the pull-up 

So I'm not gonna go over every little detail of his workouts in this video because on my channel I have made specific videos for each workout so I have day 1 day 2 day 3 day 4 day 5

So if you want a deeper look inside each workout definitely check out those videos they will be in the description below now as far as how they are structured and why they are structured in a certain way

So it goes over the whole workout program in its entirety and why it works so definitely check that out now let's get on to the diet section of the course so the calories and macros 

If you don't know anything about that he basically teaches you everything you need to know about what is a calorie what a macro where micronutrients how much you should have for cutting bulking maintaining 

He gives you formulas based on what you're trying to do it's not a fat loss book it's not a bulking book it's all of the above it's just a fitness book if you want to do X he teaches you how to do it if you want to cut he gives you a formula find your calories find your macros for cutting 

If you want a book he does the same thing again I'm not gonna dive too deep into the nutrition aspect of the big of the book 

I've read this book from front to back multiple times also this book basically calls out all the myths all the BS that you've heard about losing weight or gaining muscle and he puts them to rest he basically shows you what's real and what's not based on science-based on research so if you are a beginner 

If you are looking for something to basically base everything off of from here on until your whole fitness journey you want to buy this book this book will teach you everything you need to know is basically like the Bible the beginner's Bible for fitness 

I promise you you won't be disappointed at $7 $8 or something like that on Amazon you can't go wrong this book is a no-brainer for anyone who wants to learn about fitness so again this review is a little shorter

Just because I have made a bunch of videos on each specific topic of his workout program his diet program all his principles his dieting principles his workout principles and how they stack against other workout programs other dieting philosophies so who is this book and not for technically 

If you are like an advanced lifter or intermediate lifter and you know everything about calories macros, why heavy lifting is so important why compound lifts with heavy weights, are very important why which types of rest are optimal why hit high-intensity interval training is optimal 

All this stuff about bulking and cutting this book might be overkill for you that's based it goes a lot into the basics however if you've been training for a bunch of years but you have not seen the results you've wanted then definitely pick up 

This book because you might have been listening to the wrong information and the wrong advice and Mike Matthews again has no BS tactics everything is based on the research behind science and that's what he bases all of his claims so I highly recommend this book and it's a must read for beginners.
