"Either I will come back after hoisting the Tricolor, or I will come back wrapped in it, but I will be back for sure."
- Captain Vikram Batra
I am really impressed by the words of Captain Vikram Batra. Param Vir Chakra Captain Vikram Batra has instilled the values of courage, bravery, and selflessness in me. Captain Vikram Batra achieved great success through his dedication and leadership quality at a young age in the Indian Army.
Batra faced many encounters during his posting in Jammu-Kashmir, and he met all of them bravely. He was awarded the Param Vir Chakra, the highest military recognition of India, for his service in the Kargil war, in 1999, where he sacrificed his life.
He was martyred by the action of Pakistani troops around Point 4875 in Kargil on July 7, 1999. "Yeh Dil Maange More' After being posted as a lieutenant in the Indian Army, Batra was promoted to Captain during the Kargil war.
Captain Vikram Batra not only motivates me to join the Indian Army to serve my country but, I promise to inculcate helping nature, selflessness, and fearlessness in my daily life also.
I am impressed by his leadership quality too. When he realized one of his own had also been shot, he jumped to save his life. When Sub. Ragunath Singh offered to help him, but Batra refused to say, "You have a family and children to go back to. I'm not even married."
Captain Batra was shot and succumbed to his wounds. I will also inculcate true leadership and selflessness in my daily life by helping my friends and needy people.
I will inculcate bravery, and courage in my daily life by facing all the difficulties. I will always try to achieve new things. I will always work without being selfish and serve my country.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
